Nick is seventeen and a half and sometimes his best mate's fantasies about him make him want to take a bath in hydrochloric acid and scrub his skin off. Not because of the gay bit. That would be hypocritical. Just generally. Stuck between kid and adult, he's been figuring out what's allowed and what really isn't, how to treat your friends as well as your enemies, and that your sister is never going to do what you want her to, once she's got past ten.
